Chris has bought from us quite a bit now, and this beholder might be his best yet. The staring central eye and all ten eyestalks are picked out in their own individual colours — blue, gold, green, black — which stops the model from reading as a muddy blob of tentacles and actually gives it real presence on the table.
There's a fun story behind this one too — Chris messaged us just before Christmas needing his order in time for a boss fight where his DM had gifted his wizard a cube of summoning, and this beholder was clearly what came out of it. Worth it, by the sound of things.
The battle-mat setup in the photo does the model justice as well — skeletons, a lava-lit dungeon backdrop, other painted minis surrounding it. Feels like a genuine mid-session snapshot rather than a posed shelf photo.
