If you've got a minotaur encounter on the horizon, these are genuinely worth a close look before you reach for the paintbrush. The sculpts come unpainted in a clean grey resin, which is actually a brilliant starting point — that neutral tone lets you plan your colour scheme properly rather than fighting against a base coat you didn't choose.

Scale-wise, all three sit on a medium 25.5mm base, so they'll slot into a standard party lineup without towering over everything or getting lost on the board. The fur texture across the legs and lower body is deep enough to take a wash really well — a single pass of a brown or sepia wash will pull out a huge amount of detail without much effort. The chainmail and leather strapping on the torso rewards drybrushing, and the cloaks have broad, smooth surfaces that are genuinely forgiving if you're still finding your feet with blending.

Minotaurs have been a staple of mythology for a long time — labyrinthine guardians, cursed warriors, creatures caught between worlds. That ambiguity is part of what makes them so useful at the table. Are they the villain? A tragic NPC? A reluctant ally? These sculpts lean into that versatility, which is why they work across so many campaign types.

There are three distinct poses in this set. One figure carries a crossbow low and ready, wearing a heavy cape and chainmail — feels like a ranged skirmisher or a seasoned mercenary type. The second is mid-lunge with a curved blade in each hand, cape billowing behind, which reads as a rogue or assassin build. The third is hauling back a massive double-headed axe overhead in a full berserker swing — that one's going to look brilliant painted up in earthy, battle-worn tones. If you're after more armoured minotaur options, Duncan Shadow's armoured minotaur is worth a look as a companion piece.

These are part of Epic Miniatures' range here at Otts Workshop, and the quality of the resin prints is consistently good — fine detail, minimal cleanup, and the kind of surface that takes primer without fuss. We print to order in the UK, so you're not waiting on international shipping.

If you want to browse the wider range, we've got a solid selection of minotaur miniatures across different styles and scales — useful if you need a mix of poses for a larger encounter or want to compare what's available before you commit.

Chuck them in your basket, get them primed, and let us know how the paint job turns out — we always enjoy seeing what people do with these.
