Description

The Hermit Crab Guard is an undead soldier miniature unlike any other — skeletal warriors who have claimed the shells of giant hermit crabs as both armour and mount, fusing the permanence of death with the crushing resilience of crustacean hide. Three distinct variants make up the unit: a commanding boss figure raised high on a trilobite-shelled mount, a spear-wielding warrior crouched low in an aggressive stance, and an archer variant braced behind a broad shield, drawing on ancient reflexes that outlasted flesh. The set captures a rank structure within the dead — a hierarchy that has persisted long after the tide took them.

This miniature is available in 28mm scale, UK printed in high-detail grey ABS-like resin. It arrives free from supports with a base included, ready to prime and paint straight out of the box with no cleanup headaches.

In D&D and Pathfinder, the Hermit Crab Guard drops naturally into coastal dungeons, tidal caves, sunken ruins, or any encounter where the sea has kept its dead. A GM could deploy the spear and archer variants as rank-and-file undead guardians patrolling a drowned temple, with the boss sculpt anchoring the encounter as a named skeleton warrior enemy commanding the tide-bound horde.
