Description
The Wood Woad is a plant creature miniature — a living construct of bark, root, and twisted wood that serves as an ancient guardian of wild places. Built from interlocking bark plates, coiled vine detailing, and claw-like branching hands, these three figures represent a hierarchy of forest defenders: a towering boss variant raised on an elevated base, a mid-sized attacker caught mid-lunge, and a smaller sentinel in a guarded stance. Together they form a complete encounter group drawn from the deep forest, where old growth turns hostile to those who trespass.
This miniature is available in 28mm and 32mm scale, UK printed in high-detail grey ABS-like resin. It arrives free from supports with a base included, ready to prime and paint straight out of the box with no cleanup headaches.
In D&D and Pathfinder, Wood Woads slot naturally into forest encounters as treant-adjacent guardians, nature-bound constructs, or the physical manifestation of a druid's wrath. A GM can deploy all three figures together as a tiered monster encounter — lesser woads flanking a dominant elder — or use the boss sculpt alone as a woodland sentinel protecting a sacred grove or fey threshold.
