Grendel is a troll miniature drawn from the darkest vein of Norse legend — a hulking, maned monstrosity that moves with the terrible confidence of a chieftain, not the blind rage of a beast. Each of the three sculpts wields an ornate double-headed axe carved with runic engravings, positioning this creature as a named antagonist or warlord-class monster rather than a nameless wandering brute. Clawed hands, fanged snarling jaws, and a leonine body covered in coarse fur place it firmly among elite melee threats that players will remember long after the encounter ends.
This miniature is available in 28mm scale, UK printed in high-detail grey ABS-like resin. It arrives free from supports with a base included, ready to prime and paint straight out of the box with no cleanup headaches.
In D&D and Pathfinder, Grendel fits naturally as a boss encounter in Norse-themed or dark fantasy wilderness campaigns — a warlord ruling over a remote stronghold, a cursed giant haunting frozen forests, or the named terror at the heart of a Beowulf-inspired adventure arc. GMs running Arctic or forest encounters will find all three poses offer distinct moments across a multi-stage boss fight or a warband of elite ogre-troll warriors.
